I was wondering if any of you have experimented with your own ejection charge setup's?

Obviously I am going to be using a MAD and as such will need an avionics bay. However have any of you any guidance for how to test an experimental method?

The rocket I am using is a Semroc Lil' Hustler using forward ejection

Here is a picture from RockSim that I have annotated to give you a better idea.

Any maths or formula that I can use as well to detirmine the amount of smokeless powder to use would be greatly appreciated.

Nathan

A good site for such things is Vern Knowle's repository of information
