The June 2010 issue of ROCKETS Magazine is out. Click on the picture (below) to download a preview:

The fantastic articles in this issue include:
  • Part-1 of a series about drop-away boosters;
  • One man’s experience using Blue Tube to build a scratch-built design rocket for a L3 Project.

As usual, I'll post here just as soon as the magazine hit the country.

Ciao,
Mike

Unfortunately, I found out today that the June 2010 issue won't hit Australia until the end of June. The bulk shipment exceeded the weight limit on a "flat rate" box and Bob couldn't get it sorted before he had to travel out to California for LDRS 29 (10-15th June).

So Ari, you've still got a few weeks to read through the April issue before the next magazine hits your letterbox.

Bye,
Mike

On Monday, the June issues will be heading around the country via Australia Post. So you should receive your copy on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Quite a few people's subscriptions end with the June issues. It's easy to renew online, but you will need either the envelope from your magazine or the subscription renewal card. To make it easy, click here to go to the ROCKETS Magazine website.

The June issues contains a great article about building the giant V2 that was featured on the cover of the February 2010 issue.

This sucker is 16 feet long, 24 inches diameter and weighed 450 lb (200 Kg) at lift-off. The airframe is mostly made from an aircraft drop fuel tank.

The June issue also contains a write-up about Plaster Blaster 2009 by Mark Canepa. My favourite photos are the sequence of the ill fated flight of the 1/3 scale X-15.

Bye,
Mike

I have a few spare copies of the June issue of ROCKETS Magazine. The price is AUD$9.00 per copy and that includes postage to your letter box.

Drop me a PM if you'd like to avail yourself of this classic magazine. Maybe there's something wrong with me (not have been to a launch for ages) but I can't stop reading the June issue. I've almost finished reading the whole thing in just 2 days.

Ciao for now,
Mike
