OK, Boards are cut:

Been a bit busy this weekend and there's nothing like putting a project up on the web to make you go through it with a fine toothed comb. So I'll do a little tweaking and tuning of the firmware before I program the micro's this week..

Just wanted to check the values of the two capacitors... are they 0.1uf and 0.01uF?

Yep. Ceramics are best, especially for the 0.01uF

I'm not sure what is supposed to happen when it is switched on, but I know I have obviously made a mistake somewhere as the bulb I am using in place of an ematch is lighting! Any clue as to what should happen when I find and fix the problem? Also I am assuming that the fet that fires the ematch is n channel?

Apologies for dragging my feet on this project. At first we just got super busy. Then, looking through the MAD code, I decided to make some changes and wanted to test them before I programmed everyone’s chips.

I did that testing at the last launch.

"Uncert'n" on its way to 3002m AGL on a J500

Then we got "White Trash" back and realised that the MAD had failed to deploy the apogee charge (see this thread) and I really wanted to get to the bottom of that before I programmed everyones chips.

Then I made another change and wanted to test it before I programmed everyone’s chips.
I did that today with a little help from young Lawrence at the park on the little microhybrid rocket:

So now I'm good to go.
The ERG and WA guys can wait for the next round, I'll assemble a few complete units for us.

I'll take the first 8 paypal payments (make sure your address is in there) for $7 to tech@caswa.com for

Drilled PCB: $2
Programmed uC: $1
LiPo Battery: $2
Post and Pack: $2

Remember that you'll have to source the remaining components and assemble them yourselves. I strongly recommend that someone puts their hand up to coordinate this. You'll save a bunch on shipping!

If you miss out this time, I have another 100 micro's coming. We'll get to everyone eventually.

I've just sent an order for 2 kits.
I also have all the surface-mount soldering gear if anyone in Melbourne needs to get theirs made up.

That's it, all gone.

If you are interested then let me know and I'll do another batch of boards at some point..

I've just ordered a surface mount pick and place machine that's gonna sit there doing nothing about 90% of the time.. I might actually do a run of these at some point..

Sorry, turns out I was telling lies. We've only got about 600 of them left on that reel and I need them for a run of boards. It's a pisser because the QTY1 price on them is outrageous at the moment! Our last buy price was US$2.93 for QTY 2000.

They're a very popular amp (and quite unique in what they can do). Stock shortages and (the resulting) high prices have been the norm for a while now. Component prices change with supply and demand variations almost daily. It makes pricing things very hard for us little manufacturers.

BTW All those boards, micro's and batteries shipped this morning..

Cheers and again my apologies..
